Sharing the same family tree with a close relative?
Is it possible to share the same tree with a close relative i.e. my sister? Including the ppl in the tree who are still alive?
In my family tree I have my parents and siblings who are all alive and therefore private.
My sister has now created her own account but it seems that she has to add them again, separately from mine.
Although I understand the reasoning behind living ppl being private and only available for the person who added them we should have an option to share these profiles with entrusted accounts.

There is a new sharing feature that has been announced. https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/whats-new-in-familysearch-2023
Another new feature will enable members of family groups to collaboratively add and share memories with one another about living or deceased relatives. They will also be able to collaborate with one another on adding facts and sources for a living relative.

The best way to protect private information is to not put it online anywhere. Track your living relatives in an offline tree, and share those files with your sister. No, it's not as convenient as public/social media, but do you really want it to be?
