Linking/Search Format 1950 Census to match Other Census Records
So on the 1950 census I am able to find multiple family members living g in different households. The Problem I'm having is, unlike the other census records where you can click "attach" from the indexed list and add it to the correct family members, you have to "Hope" your search or hints will pop up with the 1950 census for those members who are not living in the same household.
In older census records it easier to visually search the census and find all members living in the same area, and then attach them accordingly.
Example GDLD-P8B Clifton Pratt Guess is in one house hold and in the very next household is 9VG4-Y5Z his Nephew, Major Guess. Then on the next page M466-4C4 His brother Bradley Guess. All these records showed in HINTS, but this is not the case for most of the records I find.
Also I like the ability to look up, through the census index, State, City , County etc. It helps me to locate family that you know live in that area, that you're unable to get to pop up during other types of searches. Its my back-door search, doing a census search in reverse if you will.
Not sure how much sense this is making but I'd be happy to explain further if needed.

Yes I do see them in the 1950 Census as you describe:
C Pratt Guess and Major Guess (on same page)
Bradley Guess family (on the next page)
When you say they showed in HINTS do you mean here?
When you browse the 1950 Census and select Kentucky it does not list Lyon County. But if you Refine the search for Lyon, Kentucky, United States you can indeed find ED: 72-9 and page 3 does have the same images found in Search> Records (at least that was my experience).
If you are seeing something else perhaps give a few screenshots to show what you experience.
Once on image 4 you will find C Pratt Guess and Major Guess as before but in the newer image viewer which does have a different ATTACH TO TREE button. The first time I clicked that button it did not bring up the familiar Source Linker dialogue/window. I had to select C Pratt Guess in the and view his index pane before clicking ATTACH TO TREE in order to bring up Source Linker:
