Adding large volume documents to memories
We have a friend who has a family history book that's quite large. It's too large to upload the entire document into Memories at one time. Does anyone know of a piece of software or a utility of some kind which can help a user break up a document into FamilySearch "bite-size" chunks? Thank you for any information you can provide.

Hi @J. Britt Franklin - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking your question about reducing the size of a pdf (assume it's a PDF) file so it can be loaded. The best bet is to do a google search. Search for "split pdf into multiple files" You will have several choices, many are free.
You can also try reducing the size of the PDF. Depending on the document, you can get significant size reduction. Again, do a google search using " reduce pdf size". Again you will have several choices.
Hope this helps.

@J. Britt Franklin Another alternative is to upload the document to the platform the Internet Archive (Archive.org) as a Community text, provided the contents are suitable for a more public platform. There is generally no restriction on size (the upper limit is very large).
You need to be signed into to the Internet Archive, and you can select any thing for your sign in name, your real name or anything else.
The usual file format for a Text upload is a pdf , and the name of the your pdf will automatically generate a URL in the upload process (which you can elect to change)
