Get RID OF the Name Meaning section because it is incorrect!!! Or at least let me fix it!
My maiden name is Schweikhardt.
Someone decided that my name MEANING is related to some other spelling. Whom ever did this did not check my family tree! They gave me an incorrect name and I cannot even fix it.
My name has NOT EVER BEEN
My correct ancestor. Notice there is NO Schweickert and never has been. In fact there are Schweikhardt reunions for everyone with that last name! Cuntzen Schweickhardt was born around 1500. This is my true ancestor.
I suggest you either FIX or REMOVE that box. Or allow patrons to enter correct information.

The best use of the About page is to ignore its existence.
However, to the best of my knowledge, this is an instance where Hanks is actually (accidentally) basically correct: Schweigert, Schweickert, Schweighar(d)t, and Schweickhar(d)t really are various spellings of the same name.

@hmbemis1 Sidebar here. I suspect we are related. My ancestors came to the new world in the early 1700s with a name spelled very similar to yours. The original spelling got whittled down several times to the current "Swihart", which is my maiden name.
