I have records of my 5th cousin twice removed (and his family) which are handwritten in Portuguese. I Need Help With Translation of These Records. I need help translating Portuguese handwrititen document of 2 birth records and words in margin. I have already consulted Family search wiki, word lists, google translate and friends who spoke Portuguese while on missions in the past. (I have also tried talked with Family Search Missionaries via the telephone, and have attempted to join a Brazil Family Search group but request has not gone through. I am watching for an appointment time to open for online help with a Family Search consultant; but so far there has been no availability.) Please help me! Thank you.

@TammyPaxman You might try posting in the Latin American Research group where we have native speakers. I can read and understand Portuguese, but I'm not comfortable translating for others. https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/115-latin-american-research

Thank you. That is the group that I have tried joining, without success. I will keep trying. I attached the images now. Hopefully that will be more helpful!

That's surprising. I've been immediately accepted when I requested to join any of the regional research groups.

Here is the link to the Latin America Group https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/115-latin-american-research. Please remember to click "Join" to join the group. Sister Leona Hansen is the one who sends the Welcome Letters for that group. I will tell her to keep an eye out for you. PaulaAnn
