Hi! Just an FYI

Film# 004282986 Massachusetts State Vital Records, 1841-1920 - I noticed specifically for many death recs at the end of 1906. On the search, the Place should be Fall River, MA - but is instead Fall River, WI

Thanks!

    That's the autostandardization bot.

If you go to an index detail page, such as https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NW1D-N2Z or https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NW1D-NLQ (the first two that came up in a search of the film for any place = Fall River*), you'll notice that there are two "Death Place" fields. The one labeled "(Original)" has just the town entered, relying on the collection's metadata to fill in the correct county and state. Unfortunately, the computer algorithm that picked the place in the other Death Place field made absolutely no reference to this metadata, neither before nor after picking a random place with the right name.

@famsear Thank you for reporting the inaccurate death place in the Massachusetts State Vital Records collection. I have reported it to the team that is working on corrections. Unfortunately, we are not able to predict how long it will take for corrections to be in place.
