WW II Activity

I just checked my 20 relatives who show in that category. All of them have US Army enlistment records attached, so the activity is pulling the information from that record set. My parents both served in the US Navy in WWII, and neither of them show in that activity.

. . . in other words - to generate these notifications and relationships FamilySearch is relying on a source that is not nearly comprehensive and holistic. But it is relying on a database of certain world War records that it does indeed have. (and apparently FamilySeach does NOT have a complete list)
The fact that someone is not included - does NOT mean the person did not serve in the war. Nor does it mean that something needs to be "corrected".
FamilySearch did not claim the activity/source was comprehensive. BUT for those who do find relatives in the search - it is indeed an item of genealogical/family value.
The same general rule can apply to just about any notification/database of a similar nature but for a different topic.
