PROFESSION SEARCH OPTION.
In your search all records, why not add an option for profession or a key word option where you can add more detail such as a profession.

This would involve re-indexing everything to include profession as one of the indexed fields.

If/when the 'edit every field' indexer is implemented on collections including profession - it can indeed be added to the index. Whether Search will allow searching on that field - or perhaps filtered - could also be implemented.

To clarify, only certain FamilySearch indexed records / collections would even include a profession, so your request would be very difficult to implement, as entering such detail into a field would likely to produce "Nil results". Regardless, another problem would be that the exact same profession / occupation is often shown differently, depending on the record in question - e.g. cordwainer, shoe maker, boot maker.
