Allow audio files and PDF documents to be added to a Story
It is helpful to be able to group photos about an event using a "Story" on an ancestor's memory page. However it would be a great improvement to allow PDF documents and audio files to be added to a Story.
There is a significant event in the life of my grandmother that I would like to tell more completely in a single entry on her memories page. It is documented well in a PDF file I have scanned from her journal. I also have audio files of my grandmother explaining additional details in her own words about this event. There are also photos that expand the reality of the story.
Currently I can put all this content into an album in my personal gallery but I cannot attach that album to my grandmothers memories page. So this is not helpful to a future FamilySearch visitor. Expanding the content types allowed in a Story would provide a way to group documents, photos, and audio relating to this event on my Grandmothers Memories page.
Now when someone goes to my grandmother's Memories page there are so many single photos and documents that it is confusing to see how they relate to each other. Most future visitors will not want to spend hours trying to study how they are interrelated. Therefore, the value of this vast accumulation of memories will not be appreciated.
Providing a way to group different media types would allow future FamilySearch visitors to browse through my grandmother's memories more efficiently. When they see a Story with an interesting title they would be able to open it and see all the information about that Story in one place rather than having it scattered throughout hundreds of other photos, audio files, and documents.
Increasing the size limit on PDF documents would allow an entire diary to be contained in a single file. Increasing the limit of the number of photos that can be added to a story would also be a benefit. I think that is conducive to better organization and would provide improved usability for future visitors . Adding audio to a specific photograph is a step in the right direction, but allowing multiple media types in story would be very helpful.
