Resetting Passwords
I was helping someone trying to login to their account and she got in, but she didn't remember exactly what she typed. So we went into her settings and to her account, to the password reset, and it wanted her to enter her currant password. The password that she can't remember...
My suggestion is to do away with that feature, you all are doing so many awesome thing to make FamilySearch user friendly, it's sad that this part has turned her away from doing the work she wanted to accomplish for the night.

All password change functions I've ever encountered require you to know the old password. The assumption is, if you don't know the old password, then you're in the account by nefarious means and should definitely not be allowed to make such a crucial change.

My sister (reading over my metaphorical shoulder) points out that not all password resets require you to know the old password: "I forgot my password" options generally rely on you remembering a different password (for your email).
However, after a slight clarification, I stand by my comment: all in-account or logged-in password change functions I've ever encountered have required me to know my old password.
