The group has not been able to translate the marriage record. I am trying to find out the information about Otto Rauch (place of birth). And I wonder why some entries have been crossed off.

If anyone can make out the writing I would appreciate it.

    Thank you.

The entries that are crossed off are about the birth of Otto Rauch. Usually people would show their birth record which was issued by a certain civil records office (Standesamt). So this is what was pre-printed in the birth certificate. But Otto Rauch instead showed a birth and baptism certificate (Geburts- und Taufschein) issued by the head official (Amtsvorsteher) of his place of birth or a neighboring town.

Unfortunately the name of the town where his birth certificate was issued is very hard to read. The word "Ducha" reminds me of the name of some Polish churches "Sw Ducha" (Holy Spirit) so it may not be part of the town's name.

    Regards,

    Christine
