User end flag/highlight an issue
I would like to see a feature where family search users, not just workers and missionaries, could flag or highlight issues that they find without having to resolve them themselves. I find issues all the time where people have incorrectly entered information or relationships and I don't feel comfortable deleting a person, removing a relationship, or changing details of someone else's work. I would like to "flag" it for review to bring it to the attention of whoever is working on that line or to a missionary so that they could check and double check and then amend if they concur that there is an issue.

Family Tree is an open edit tree where all can work together. FamilySearch does not have employees or missionaries that verify the truthfulness of the relationship found here. There are just too many profiles and too few helpers. We encourage users to contact others working on the same person to get in contact and collaborate with one another to fix errors.
This community is a great place to share your research questions or get another set of eyes to look at something you are uncertain of. Just ask a question, probably in the Family Tree category, and include the ID of the person you're working on. If you change something and find it was wrong, you can use the Change Log to undo the error. You can create Alerts in the Notes section to highlight important information.

I would certainly encourage anyone to type something useful in Notes or Collaboration or whatever, even if they do nothing else, rather than just flag something (which to me means the same as simply adding "WARNING" to the profile). If you see something wrong, then it would make sense to say why you think it's wrong, even if you don't feel confident in altering the relationships (say).
(I can't blame anyone for not feeling confident about adjusting someone's parents - it's not 100% clear and it is complex. The only reason I can do it is because I'm confident that I can undo any errors that I make - either via the Change Log or because I have things written down on Post-Its...)

I agree Alert Notes are a prime location to put a flag/warning, but I would also like to see the capability of 'Dislike/Disagree' for conclusions, Sources, Memories and Notes. I realize if I disagree I can just make a change - but if it is flagged - in conjunction with new upcoming features of My Tree and Family Group Trees - the effect would be to collaborate/poll the profile to build consensus (over who knows what timeframe) - and then once such consensus is demonstrated, perhaps changes could be effected (particularly in more distant/early dated tree profiles - which are more difficult to establish anyway). Flagged items could also be moved to To Do List or Tasks list for followup reminding. I'm hopeful the My Tree and Family Group Trees will be able to separate profiles/conclusions that are essentially complete from those that need more collaboration/work. I look forward to an adjusted collaborative model.
