Do people use the Get Involved app?
I remember the short lived indexing app that was out briefly some several years before the Get Involved app. It was a similar idea but didn’t work as well. It was an official FamilySearch Indexing phone app but is lost to the sands of time. I have done indexing since 2008 and been an indexing leader even when I was just a young person. It was back then, like 10 years and more ago that I heard so many people asking for a phone app. I remember we waited for years for the web app so we could use tablets and chromebooks which was nice, but it was a big conversation that it still did not work on phones. I would have been so into it back then. Now many years later it is on phones, but I do not use it because I am a much busier professional now not a young person who loves doing indexing like I was before. Does anyone actually use it now that it exists or was the desire for it basically dead before it came out? Sorry to be cynical, but I want to be excited it exists because I wanted it for many years but I just am not and I don’t hear anyone ever talk about using it or being excited about it basically. I barely notice anyone at FamilySearch even mention it ever.

I like you - think it being on phone could be a powerful tool (many users). For me I need to be much more intentional on use of my free time. Community/social media while distracting does prevent me from more productively using my time in Family Tree or other needs. I believe Review Names is an important app (teaching/helping improve the computer/AI indexer) that could be more used. Not having expertise in a foreign language is not too often an excuse to indicate whether a computer generated transcript matches or not.
