Links to Best Friends of a Person
I realize that "best friends" do not officially belong in a family tree database. Of course they can be listed in "life sketches", but that does not create any link within a database like FamilySearch.org. I also realize that the inclusion of all friends would create a nightmare of linkages. So how can I possibly link my deceased father to his best friend / business partner.? It is already possible within FamilySearch. Here is how I do it. I find a photo of my father and his best friend and I upload it to Memories. Then I identify them both in the photo including their family search id (fsid) codes. This creates the type of link that I have been searching for.
Now, one day, if my grandchildren are searching for the name (and fsid) of my father's best friend / business partner, the link is there through a well-captioned photo in FamilySearch Memories. Furthermore, such links will not be downladed in GEDCOM subsets.
Example: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/memories/L69G-PMF
Unfortunately, I don't know how to capture the URL of the single photo with the heading
"Vic COLE (holding his dog Rover) and his (BMF) best friend J.Earl. NANT circa 1962".
And this solution requires (almost) no software development by FamilySearch programmers.

I see that BFF is an option but BMF is not:
The only other way I can think of to indicate such a relationship - is to use the Other Relationships: Neighbor type on the person's Details page:
TO capture that URL click on the Share icon then the Copy button:
Furthermore, such links will not be downloaded in GEDCOM subsets.
Currently depending on the GEDCOM application you are using; however, after GEDCOM 7 release a compatible application should then download such links.
