How to I merge an updated gedcom file with the family Tree that I already have at FamilySearch? My current tree is out of date and I don't want to add one person at a time.

@Tom O'Brien_2, the Family Tree on FamilySearch is a single, collaborative tree, so "one person at a time" is really the only way to edit it.

If you upload a file to Genealogies, it will offer a process whereby it compares it to what's in the Tree and allows you to transfer data, but it's like working partially blindfolded: the comparison process misses many matches, offers up a whole bunch of false matches, and doesn't let you properly see either end to make your own comparisons.

I believe it is much better -- and faster, in the long run -- to make edits to the Family Tree one profile at a time. If you use your operating system's copy-and-paste functions, such as from an uploaded GEDCOM, you will not even need to type anything.

At Rootstech 2023 it was mentioned a future feature will be the ability to have your own tree space! (I'm looking forward to this)
