Please help Ordinances Ready and Family Groups to help us do ordinances based on expiration date
We are trying to work together as a family on ordinances, and we have reserved names that are expiring in a couple of months. But there are two issues in the system which inhibit us from working together to prioritize our focus on which cards to print.
1. Ordinances Ready often does not present those ordinances first. My daughter sometimes uses this tool and it presents names that expire in years. She and we as a family have several reservations that expire in the next couple of months.
2. Ordinances with a short reservation span also can't be shared into Family Groups. This means there is a double-chance that ordinances I have reserved won't be found by my family members.

Different tools are needed to accomplish different tasks. To do ordinances based on expiration date, use your reservation list filters. To do ordinances based on other criteria such as closeness of relationship, use Ordinances Ready.
Expiration dates exist only on reservations that are on your personal reservation list, either in the section that you have kept or in the section you have shared with the family group. To do ordinances based on expiration date, use the filters set to show by expiration date and set the sort to show soonest to latest.
Then stress to your group that if there are names in the Family Group there is no need to use Ordinances Ready.
Regarding the short term reservations, as long as you hold those reservations, no one else can ever access these. These are ones, that by reserving, you have stated you will personally complete them within 120 days. When they expire and return to the shared with temple list they originally came from, then everyone in your Family Group and all your other relatives that are not in the Family Group can use Ordinances Ready to find them and complete them.
For the long term reservations that you have that are expiring, do not be too concerned. They really don't go very far. When they "expire," they just move to your shared with temple list so that everyone in the world who is related to them within several generations, whether in your family group or not, can uses Ordinances Ready to find them and complete them. If there are a few you really want to have the family group complete, after they move to your shared with temple list, just find them, pull them back to your personal list, and put them back on the family group list.
