Don't send click bait emails that say you found something but when I click the link it tells me to sign up for RootsTech.

The email I received said "you're related to Abraham Lincoln" and when I clicked the link it said "we don't see a direct link". Please ensure these emails have correct information and it's not misleading.

This "Pocahontas" relationship is not loading. I know the relationship is not directly to "Pocahontas", but I would like to connect to the information.

How I could possibly be related to Pocahontas?

Your 'Teaser' of having a famous relative (Pocahontas) proves to be NOT TRUE. This is FALSE ADVERTISING, using a BAIT AND SWITCH scheme. KNOCK IT OFF!!! I'm here for facts and scientific research - not rumor mongering.

It does not explain how I am related to Jame Austen.

A similar issue was raised yesterday by another FamilySearch patron. I offer the same suggestion: if you find these items as annoying as I do, go to your settings and uncheck the appropriate boxes in order not to receive such notifications any more.

I consider such emails marketing fluff. I don't read every email I receive from companies where I may have shopped. Same with these - just scroll on by. Or, as Paul suggests, opt out.

I have passed on your concerns to the appropriate team. Thanks for letting us know about the problem.

I have to add that being opted out of "FamilySearch Information" still did not stop me from receiving emails about Rootstech this year. No real complaint, but unrequested information, nevertheless.
