Chromebook configure for FSC

We bought an inexpensive Chromebook for our FSC, mainly to use to access personal email accounts for patrons who forgot their passwords. Is it possible to set it up through our unique FSC with a Chrome account - password and user name? We wanted to eventually add the portal extension but would that defeat the purpose of wanting to access email and still be secure?

@Donna_Dellinger, You will need to contact FamilySearch technical support for help with this.

@Shannon Potter Wilcox are you able to help with this?

@Donna_Dellinger I think you will have to contact FamilySearch support as I really don’t know the answer to this.

    Good luck ☺️

    Hello Donna

If you connect your Chromebook to the Liahona network and open the Chrome Browser, you should be able to access Your Center's email normally. Go to https://www.churchservicemail.org and then enter the email address assigned to your Centre. Installing the Portal Extension in Chrome on your Chromebook should not affect the email situation. The account you have in Chrome should be your personal account, you don't need to set your Chrome account with your Center email address. Just bookmark the churchservicemail url and access separately and independently in the Chrome browser.

Please tell me if I have misunderstood your query.

Cheerio for now and be successful!
