I woould like to know how to change an incorrect I.D. number to the correct one. This error occurred when someone, whom I do not know, deleted a large segment of my family tree.

I was able to reconnect the missing segment, but the person joining the segment now has the wrong I.D.

    .

Check the "ChangeLog" of the INCORRECT "FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID); and, see if there was a "Merge" / "Combine".

    .

    ChangeLog _ access

    .

    ChangeLog _ page or screen

    .

If there was a "Merge" / "Combine", select the "Deleted" individual/person; and, if there is a "Restore" link; then, select that and "Restore" them; then, do what you have to to address/fix all the connections.

    .

    Restore _ Person

    .

    I hope this helps.
