Wishful thinking

Someone is very busy posting links from my ancestors to nearly every famous person, sometimes the information disappears, only to reappear weeks later. I just looked at Sir Winston Churchill, stated to be my 12th cousin on his mothers side. Last year I saved the entry for him, and he was described as my 11th cousin on his father's side. All of these people, including virtually every American President are all listed as connections on my maternal side. I think all this info is posted by a member of the Sinnock family. Better if Family Search gave the name of the person posting these trees so you can contact them. One time I wrote to a member of the Sinnock family who posted their tree over an entry where they give a person a date of death, then elsewhere they are shown still alive 3 years later. To be told that they were given this information by someone else. Too many repeat other peoples errors without researching themselves.

    Robert--

You can see who put in the information by checking "Latest Changes". The person's UserName is listed by the changes made. Click on the name, and there is a way to message them. Under "Sources," the person who attached them is also noted. You can message them the same way.

Hope this information is helpful. PaulaAnn

When you are on a person's Detail Page--Latest Changes in on the right-hand side underneath Research Hints, Search Records, and Notes. Be sure to click "See All" in order to see everything. You can click "Filter" to see only the desired changes.
