Do you record the names in the "By Whom Patented" section?

Sorry, I am new to this. A couple of questions:

I cannot find a place anywhere. I have looked on previous pages, but only see township numbers. Just making sure I'm not missing anything.

The directions mentioned that there could be "The To Whom Patented column may contain dates or names of others in regards to the sale." Do I index those names in the field under the "Other names" and if so, what do I do if more than one name is listed? It will usually say "assigned to ....."

The directions mentioned there could be names in this section. Some lines contain multiple names of who the property was assigned to. Do I put those in the Other names in the same field? What do I do if there are more than one?

You should create a record for each individual transaction.

    • Create an entry for every separate transaction, even if the name is the same. If a transaction was between more than 2 people, create additional entries to index all recorded names.

I would not create any records with Hailey since it is probably a corporation or a government entity.
