Duplicate Memory Uploads

I have several family members with duplicate images uploaded in memories. Often times the same picture is uploaded by more than one well-meaning family member. These duplicates can cause the person Memories area to get quite unruly.

I wish there was a way to identify these duplicated images (maybe using facial rec AI?). Perhaps triggering a prompt to say “It looks like a similar image has already been uploaded. Continue anyway?” when a similar photo is uploaded.

Being able to “Stack”/group, hide, or folder duplicate images in a person’s memory view would also help with organizing.

Thank you for you feedback. The product manager has informed us that we are looking at a way for users to group images together and that we also are exploring more with facial recognition.

As an identical twin, I'm leery of anything using facial recognition.

Thanks Caleb. I appreciate all you are doing to provide a great service.

Julia, that’s a circumstance I hadn’t thought about. Thank you for adding your feedback.
