I would like to know what you suggest to do when transferring names to family search from ancestry. If the person is already on family search, how do we access their page?

You can use the Find function to look for a person/family by name: https://www.familysearch.org/search/tree/name
If you have records attached to the person/family on Ancestry, look for the same records on FamilySearch. Those same records (censuses, for example) will likely already be attached to the person/family on FamilySearch.
