Still not counting all the records I review. Just did two more and no change in the tally.

Individual tallies of batches may not post for several days or more. They are apparently very busy and posting slows down. It will eventually catch up. I just look at my total Progress numbers that reflect the increase in what I have indexed or reviewed.

Are you looking at My Indexing Total or Progress charts?

I am looking at My Indexing Total and they never "catch up" even after several days. I usually have to do one or two batches before they start to register. I am trying to review as many names as I have indexed and figure at 15 names a day it will take about 3 1/2 years, but since they don't count all the ones I review I may be dead before I catch up.

Just reviewed 21 names and tally only increased by 17. Don't know how to bring this to the attention of the computer nerds. Long term problem.

Are you deleting any of the records during the review? Are any of the names exact duplicates?

If you deleted 4 names during your review, then you would get credit for submitting 17 names.

If you mark a batch as No, No Extractable Data - you get no "points".

If there are names that are exact duplicates, the system will immediately delete those entries upon submitting and and change your record total to indicate fewer entries.

If you want to try to make a phone call or email to get a message to the "computer nerds", click on the question mark, click "Contact Us" and you will find options depending on your location. Good Luck!!

@Melissa S Himes It just occurred to me that perhaps if a batch when reviewed was returned for Re-Indexing for some reason, that that batch might not count towards the indexers tally? There would be no way for the indexer to know that that batch had been returned for re-indexing. Is this possibly why some tallies are not going up?

@Mary Rice returning a batch for re-indexing has no effect on the indexers total and will not add to the reviewer's total. It seems like the tallies being off in some accounts has been an on-going problem and I think they are aware that there is a glitch. When we moved from desk-top to this web-indexing programming, I lost well over 180,000 records that I indexed and those have never shown up in my totals.

I've noticed that when I have to correct something while reviewing, that entry is not counted towards my total.

@Melissa S Himes, I lost all of my records when we switched from desktop to web indexing.

@erutherford I keep hoping that someday they will all re-appear!

I think we all lost records we indexed and/or reviewed, etc. I don't think I'll live long enough to have them ever added back. Just consider myself lucky when they add what I do now.
