How do I find the exact ancestor number of an ancestor listed in Roots Tech?
I got the email about ancestors I'm related to all over the world through Family Search and Roots Tech. For example, it will show how many relatives and I share a 6th great-grandmother. However, I can't click and link directly to that 6th great grandmother, and typing in her name on the "Find" search brings up dozens of names. I see dozens of ancestors, but how can I find the correct one if I don't have the correct 6 digit identifier? It's very frustrating, and I can't pull up a family tree without the that name and number match. I guess I can take all day and go on a wild goose chase and pull up every branch of my own tree until I find that name, but I think there must be an easier way. What am I missing? My local "experts" can't answer these questions, and there is really no good online resource to get questions answered.

When you visit the "RootsTech Relatives" page, you can select a location or an ancestral connection to narrow the numbers.
Just be aware that the connections are only as good as the tree. If your 6th GGM is not connected or has erroneous connections, she will not be presented in the Relatives app.
And, not everyone has set their relationships so that you can see them.
