Burned Records
on my mother's side of the family, during the civil war, some of our family records were burned, they told us where our ancestors came from. Now we just have to believe what we are told; we're Irish.
I was hoping maybe there is some copies in the family search. Is there any records with the last name Ledford or Kitchens???

On your Home page click on search at the top of the page. I then clicked on records and entered the two names in the surname field. The number of records for each name is shown below. If you enter a location and an approximate date the numbers will be reduced to something more reasonable.
951,839 for Kitchens
340,007 for Ledford
