Looking for any information on two people who are the parents of my mother-in-law.

My mother-in-law was adopted and my wife's family is looking for information on her biological parents. According to Canadian adoption papers the mother was Thelma Johnson age 20 at the birth which was April 13, 1929. At the time, Thelma lived in Gainford, Alberta, Canada. Father was Alex(Alexander?) Stromberg age 21(?) at time of birth. Thelma was born in Adubon, Ohio, USA near Cincinnati. Father born in Sweden. Adoption papers identify the child as not legitimate and that the mother was single. That is about all the information we have on them.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to find these two people would be appreciated. We realize how difficult finding them is with just this information.

    Maile L,

Thank you for the info on joining this group. I have joined. Reading some of the comments for discussions on similar issues my wife has now completed DNA testing. We will see what that brings. This may be the best avenue to find another branch of her family tree. Thank you for the suggestion.
