Where different dates for a private baptism and a public baptism are recorded, which dates should be entered in the "entries" fields?

    @RogerWilliams15 The GIG say to use the most recent date, but it would be more helpful if you give the batch code [XXXX-111] so we could see what you see. BTW, private baptisms were/are performed when the person/infant was not expected to live, then repeated in public so that all the friends and family would know the infant was saved by having been baptized.

    The "consensus" view when I raised a similar issue under the Family Tree category of Community was to use the earlier date. However, I realise that common sense it not necessarily applied when it comes to indexing, as the project instructions must always be followed.
