In the Luxembourg 1900 census the wife is frequently listed with two surnames, her husbands and her own with geboren or an abbreviation pf geboren before her maiden surname. The instructions do not specify if both surnames are to be used or just her maiden surname.

The General Indexing Guidelines say: "Type the maiden name before the current or former surnames." This is the instruction we follow unless the specific project instructions or field help says otherwise.
