Adding new profile that is not in family tree

I came across a newspaper article outside of FS and looked for person's profile on FS. There were similar profiles, but not the correct year of birth, spouse or area where he lived. I found sources on FS for this person. How do I create a new person/profile that is not in my tree and add the sources to him? I understand about duplicates and this would not be a duplicate profile. It used to be easier to do in the past, now there is no help anywhere on this website for suggestions!!

After opening Family Tree, click on "Recents", then (at the bottom of the list of recently viewed names) "Add Unconnected Person".

Once you have added his profile, it could be that you are given suggested duplicates for evaluation. If it still appears this is the first time his profile has been added to Family Tree, it would be advisable to try to add parents and other relatives, in order to connect him to others in the tree. After manually adding two or three more generations, you will probably find an existing branch to which he can be linked.
