Hello, can someone PLEASE HELP!! I am a beginner in researching my family history (about a year or so) I've come to a brick wall because it seems some of the records I would like to research, I can't find. Does anyone know of any UPDATED links or references that are available to search archives in Mexico? Or is there a way to actually communicate with a Genealogist in Mexico? I've written several emails with no response and mostly all the links, references and websites that I have been on to date are expired or no longer available. I don't know if I am doing something wrong (big chance I am) or what else to do to continue my search. I am extremely passionate of this journey to the past I don't want to give up but it seems my research has come to a stop. The library in the city I live in has very very little to no info on Mexican Ancestry. Any help is greatly appreceated. Thank you. Amy

I would start looking in FamilySearch WIKI. You can get there using this https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/State_of_Mexico,_Mexico_Genealogy

Another option would be set up a virtual consult with FamilySearch Library in SLC. they have specialists for Mexican Ancestors, great help. this is a cool place to work in as they will setup a virtual meeting and lead you down the path. Many times they will share your link and show you how to get there. https://go.oncehub.com/ResearchStrategySession

I am going to keep looking but these are great places to start. Also you can go into FamilySearch Communities and go to Groups and then go to Latin American Research, look through the Discussions or you can start a new discussion. There are almost 400 members and many are more than willing to assist.

    Happy Searching!!!

You can also go to FamilySearch Catalog that is under the Search column - You can search by surnames, titles, Author, subjects or keywords.
