Message needed to show you have been timed-out
A message is clearly displayed when I have been timed / logged out when using other websites. It is often difficult to estimate how long I have been away from the screen when taking a break in using Family Tree. But, when I return, I am allowed to carry on making a change or typing a statement without any warning I am no longer logged-in. The first indication I receive of the fact is when I try to save my last piece of work, and the log-in screen appears! The problem can still be there even when you do log back in - if you have pages open in different tabs.
Can nothing be done to address this problem? A: "You are about to be timed out" message would probably be no good, as you would not notice it if away from the screen. I have come to expect I should save long pieces of typed text (to Word, or elsewhere), to avoid the loss of such if I should be timed out before completion, but still think FamilySearch could be providing the warning I find on other websites.

I agree with Paul. At times I have been timed out when replying to a message. I now type out my message using the documents software on my PC and then copy and paste the message into the messenger window.
Some members have given me their email addresses so we can skip using the Messager feature.
