I have been a modestly regular visitor/user of FamilySearch, for a number of years and a somewhat less frequent visitor to the FS Community website.

I have recently been advised by a fellow researcher to make use of the FS Bookmark facility to speed-up my jump from the FS website to the FS Community website. Not being familiar with FS Bookmark protocols I used the on-board services of the FS Help system and was somewhat confused by the response(s) I received (see the attached image)

Could I please request help and guidance on how my “Search String” should have been worded, to obtain the required guidance.

Good Morning Graham, and other readers,

I'm thankful you've explained that as clearly as you have, I still find it amazing the muddles I get myself into on some occasions, by misunderstanding what I've read or heard.

    Thank you.

    JohnG_Swansea.

A bookmark to speed your access to Community has nothing to do with FamilySearch. It is simply a bookmark in your browser that you can click on to go straight to Community rather than go via the help menu on the main FamilySearch page.
