Recovering account
Hi, is there a way to recover a Familysearch account if you only have your membership number? My nearly 100-year-old father is trying to get back into his account. He no longer has access to the email address he signed up with (so he can't request a reset of his password in the normal way), has upgraded his computer and no longer has the password stored automatically when he opens the page, and has lost the little scrap of paper he wrote it down on when he moved into assisted living. If he has his membership number, is there a way that he can still recover his account?

Hi Rose - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking your question about account recovery. Yes, your father's account can be recovered using his membership number. The way to do this is to call support at 866-406-1830. Your father must be available on the phone as well. The hours are 8am to 8pm MT Monday through Sat and 1pm to 8pm MT Sunday. Hope this helps.
