While I was indexing records for Tampa, Florida deaths, it told me that there was 30 entries when there was only 1 page that could be seen. It would be great if there was a way to get rid of all those entries when it isn't needed.

There is a way to do exactly that: use the trashcan icon in the top toolbar. You can delete either just the current entry, or all blank entries. (Relevant Help Center article: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-add-or-delete-data-entries-while-indexing)

I do wish that the "Guided Tour" in the Indexing Help Center covered these types of details, because they are the ones that trip people up.
