Help! I keep making this mistake

Hi Norma - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and posting your question about mistakes made in relationships. I suspect many of us struggle with this at times. In FamilySearch, you are able to add a person when on a tree view, landscape for example. You are also able to add a person when on a person page (profile). However, to make corrections you must be on a person page. I find it preferable to use the person page for all changes I need to make, both adding a person and correcting information. Remember that a tree view is only a reflection of the information of the person pages. If there is something missing or wrong on a tree view, it is because there is something missing or wrong on a person page. I also find that adding a person on a person page is less susceptible to mistakes. So recommend you work from the person page for all changes to your family tree. Relative to your question of what to do, go to the person page of the man and edit the relationships in the family members section. Below are links to more detailed instructions. Hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist further.
