Is there any way to keep batches for longer?

I was working on a batch in "Ireland, Mayo—Church Records, 1740–1880" and it expired. I understand that batches have to expire or they would never get done if the person leaves indexing, but this is not the case with this batch. I was unable to finish this one because it's just super long and slow.

No we are not able to extend the amount of time we are able to work on a batch. The work you put into the batch is saved for the next person who gets the batch. So at least the time you put into these batches isn't a waste. :)
