Sharing previously-shared names with Family Group
I am the only person in my family who does genealogy, although the whole family does ordinances. Thus, sharing with my Family Group is wonderful. BUT, the current system "allows you to reserve a Temple Shared name and you can either perform the Ordinance or unreserve it so others can pick it up. You are not able to share it with a Family Group." THIS IS VERY ANNOYING, because it means I have to separately email members of the family and tell them to go in and search for a particular list of PIDs and request the ordinances themselves, if it happens that the names were "previously shared with temple". That is the same as going back to the stone age before FamilyGroups existed.
Why should we only be able to share names with FamilyGroups that have never before been shared with the temple list? It makes no sense. If I am working genealogically on a family and get everybody into it that should be there, and it just happens that one or two of those individuals are someone that had been put in before and shared with the temple list by someone else, then I can't share those ordinances with my family so they get done!
I understand that if I can't do previously shared ordinances myself, I can't "reshare" with temple but should unreserve them so someone else can pick them up, as the guidance page says. HOWEVER, if I know that my family members CAN do those ordinances within the timeframe, I think I should be able to share them with my FamilyGroup.
That is, there are TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF PREVIOUSLY SHARED names, not just one. They should be treated differently when it comes to passing them on to others: 1) previously shared names that I reserve and then cannot do the work for, and my family cannot do the work for, should be unreserved, BUT 2) previously shared names (that are in fact relatives) that my family members can do the work for should be "reshare-able" with a FamilyGroup!
The system as it currently stands needs to be fixed.

Maybe I misunderstood you, but couldn't you just maintain a list of the id numbers on your group message page or on the "rules" page and let family members take them directly from the temple shared list if you are not able to re-post them on your family group? As long as you let all of the family members know where you are keeping the list, that should work. They could notify the group in messages when they reserved them and then you can change the list.
It would at very least be a good temporary fix. Another idea would be to do a shared google doc. We have one for our ward where we post information regularly, and I have another one for my cousins to share genealogical information or questions that pertain only to our family.

On a related note, It would be wonderful to be able to be able to select names I've shared with a family group and share them directly with a different family group - rather than having to reserve them for later (put them in My Reservations) and then share them with the other group.
Same with Shared with temple names. Please allow us to share from the Shared with Temple Names to one of our family groups - directly.

I have a very similar situation with my family. I do most of the research and since there are too many names for me to do alone, my family does most of the temple ordnances. We have many relatives that could have their ordnances performed by family members if I were able to share the "previously shared" individuals to our group. I hope this limitation will soon be removed.
