UK, England—Crew Lists, 1857 MQ3T-RBN

The project instructions say that the Register date is at the top of the page. And that "The register year was written just once at the beginning of the crew list. This date applies to all subsequent records until a new date was indicated."

The batch I'm reviewing has only one page and the top of the page is cut off the image. I've reviewed the available reference pages working back from my batch. The only one with a Register date looks completely different - the columns, font, wording, etc. And the date is 1852. I don't believe they are closely enough related to have any confidence that the date carries through.

There is Registration information at the BOTTOM of the page of my batch, including a date. Is there a good reason not to use that one?

Thank you.

The dates on these are kind of wonky. Notice on the sample of this type of form that the register year is 12 years before the year the crew joined the ship. So I wouldn't use any date other than the date of register at the top for that field. And it's been my experience that these documents aren't consecutive. The previous and next images will all have unrelated dates.
