Rename 1950 US Census to be in same format as other Census years
When I look for the US Census from 1950 in the Records area, it does not come up as "United States Census, 1950" as all the other years are named. Instead, it comes up as "United States 1950 Census". It would be helpful to stick to a single naming convention for the related record sets. Not only does it slow down research, but if I didn't already know the 1950 census was available, by it not showing in the list with all the other Census, I might think it's unavailable.
One example use case - I want to make sure all applicable Census records are attached to an individual, so I know to go to the Search: Records: Browse All Collections page. I type "United States Census, 19" which will generate a list of the 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 Census. I can right click and open the collection in a new window and search there for my specific person/household. However, the 1950 does not show this way - I have to look it up differently.
Thank you!

Would it be possible to correct the name of the collection in the idea title?
From 1790-1940, in the "Find a Collection" search, those census collections are found by typing: "United States Census, YYYY"
To locate 1950, you have to type, United States 1950 Census. Why? I would imagine a lot of people head right over to Ancestry to access it when they can't find it in the list using the standard naming convention you've used since the 1790 census. In fact I think I've looked for it before and thought you didn't have it. Typing "1950" returns too much stuff to spend time trying to find it.
Can you please fix that?
Thank you

You're not wrong, but in the meantime, typing "YYYY Census" into the Find A Collection box works for all of them. So does "Census YYYY".

You beat me to it, Julia. The search doesn't care in what order you enter the words.

Further testing: "United States Census 1950" finds it. If you add the comma, it doesn't.
Weird and strange.
