Stake Indexing Directors
I would like to suggest a group for stake indexing directors. I have been one for about 7 years. I received training through FamilySearch when I was first called but things have changed a lot since then. It would be nice to connect with other stake indexing directors to share ideas, encouragement, plans. It would also be nice to have someone at FamilySearch I could check in with and ask questions.

Have you looked at the group for Temple and Family History Consultants? https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/5-temple-family-history-consultants

Just looked there. I don't see much there. It might be that stake indexing directors are not a thing anymore!!

The indexing app is fairly straight forward - once someone does a few batches and increases proficiency - they can pretty much index on their own. Plus the indexing group here in Community is very good/responsive.
The Stake Indexing Director could adopt Projects or submit callings for indexers (guessing) - but with indexing moving toward computer/AI first pass and Review Names (in order to get the mountain of records online as soon as possible) - I suspect Stake Indexing Directors could shift focus to Review Names? I really don't know the future of Indexing ... Just guessing based on possibilities/observation. My understanding is that AI can get much more done in less time that indexers - if indexers become quality reviewers of this method - the result could be advantageous (of course the possibility exists that it could go horribly awry on some collections - but generally, from what I have seen, results are encouraging).
Also with the many FamilySearch interface changes, classes (joining webinars already available) or retraining on Family Tree would be good areas to focus on when beginning batches are sparser - intermediate/advanced batches are not beyond most in my opinion.
