Error uploading file

I am trying to add a photo of my grandmother in her entry page but I get an "error uploading photo" with no further information. I tried both dropping and uploading. The image is 779KB only of 1760x1760 pixels

is the image in JPG format? if not what other format?

is this on a computer or a smart device?

do you have good Internet connectivity?

Yes, still recurring issue. It is a JPG image on my laptop and yes, it has good connectivity. Loading directly to the person's profile page fails. But it seems uploading to the Gallery (and then tagging) works most of the times.

Note that even if, for some weird reason, an upload directly to a profile fails - in some cases the upload of the file still took place into the gallery - and can be found by looking in your gallery directly. If an item is successfully loaded (at least to the gallery) - you will NOT be able to do a successful upload of the file again to the profile - (since a given file can only be uploaded once to the gallery)

Or to maybe to more plainly say it:

If you ever get an error when uploading a file to the profile of a person - before trying again - you should first check to see if the initial step of uploading it to your gallery was successful - in some cases it will have been and in such case you merely need to attach it (person tag it) to the person. If you dont find it in the gallery - then a re-upload will be necessary

(People are often not aware that even on a failed upload to a profile - the image upload itself (to the gallery) may have actually worked)

and this may explain why you see this less when you load first to the gallery .
