I would say yes, as under the what to index in the instructions it says to index all records that refer to a dead person. In this case 2 dead people so I would make an entry for the 2nd person.

The original person that was first buried would be indexed in their respective batch, therefore only index the new person being buried

Please someone look at South Africa Johannesburg Cemetery Records-1942-2020 Batch # MQ3X-9QQ and tell us if we should add an entry for the person already buried in the grave?🤨
Please answer that question, so i can continue on . . . thanks
Is anybody there?
I thought not . . . . . .. . . .😫

I agree with Gary. The document is for burial of a newly deceased person, not the person already in the grave.

I was told that if there are two people on the record, index them as two separate entries, not two separate images, even though one of the people has already been buried. You might only have burial information for the second person being buried, but the record is still about two different people. I just did a batch like that. It was a little confusing. You can also call FamilySearch during the hours that they are open, or you can schedule a time to talk with someone from FamilySearch. You can find information for FamilySearch under the help button at the top of your screen. It is the question mark, and will take you to a screen that will give you contact information for FamilySearch.

@elizabethwach1 As Gary Noble stated above, The original person that was first buried would be indexed in their respective batch, therefore only index the new person being buried
