When you go into the Family Search Wiki page for Canada and click the blue "census" tab on the right side, it opens up a thing that allows you to click on the year and genealogy community to go to the page to type in the name of the person you are looking for. When you click on the 1916 census record in Family Search, it automatically brings up the 1906 result for the search. I have tried it with multiple people and the same thing results.
