    .

    Precisely, WHAT is you "Question"!?

    .

"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is a SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us.

    .

That is the 'Model' of "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" - a "Public" Tree for ALL.

    .

We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

We ONLY have "Branches", that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is NOT like "Ancestry.com" or the like.

    .

We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" like other "Web" Sites; and/or, 'standalone' personal programmes.

    .

We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/person in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

"Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

There are 'pros and cons' for, both, "Public"; and, "Private", 'Trees'.

    .

If one wants to have a "Private" 'Tree'; then, one can go to "Ancestry.com" or the like.

    .

If one wants to be part of a "Public" 'Tree'; then, one can go to "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" or the like.

    .

Many Users/Patrons actually utilise, BOTH, a "Private" 'Tree' (on the likes of "Ancestry.com"); and, are STILL part of a "Public" 'Tree' (of the likes of "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch")

    .

    Each to their own ...

    .

We all have our 'free agency' ...

    .

Again, precisely, WHAT is you "Question"?

    .

    Brett

all the trees in FS are public.

(except for any individuals who are living who you have added yourself)

and truth is - its really all one big tree (all one single big database)

This is not a "my tree vs your tree" system (like Ancestry is) - it is one database for all of us.
