Patti, I think that being mindful of your older staff members is very important to protect their health. Younger folks have way less risks. I love that you are still willing to serve those that want assistance. We would love it if you would spend some of your normal family history service time hanging out in the Community. Of course, we would love it if you would do more than hang out. Please share your knowledge through suggested resources and share the most frequently asked questions in whatever groups seem appropriate. I believe that we will have many new members coming to the Community. The new group members are usually a bit cautious about asking questions, but we wish that they weren't! There are many in the Community that love helping and we look forward to their questions. Perhaps they think their question is too simple. If it is, this may be an opportunity for someone that knows the answer (but doesn't feel like an expert) to answer. I have watched many people gain knowledge and confidence in their genealogical skills when they started sharing what they know. We all have areas of knowledge and areas that we want to learn more about. Please share some of your knowledge and skills with the Community!

That is a good question.
.
That Church announcement via e-mail, about the "Member Gatherings Temporarily Suspended Worldwide"; and, the General Church News about the "In Response to Coronavirus, First Presidency Suspends Church Gatherings Worldwide" ( https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/church/news/in-response-to-coronavirus-first-presidency-suspends-church-gatherings-worldwide?lang=eng ), DID NOT specifically include, "Temples"; and, "Family History Centres".
.
ONLY today (in fact, about 2 Hours ago) did an E-mail specifically about "Temples" (ie. Open for "Living" Ordinances ONLY, which is effective as of Monday, 16 March 2020) get distributed.
.
Many "Family History Centres" around the World are NOT "Large Gatherings".
.
Lets (not jump the 'gun') wait and see whether their is FURTHER direction or clarification from Church Leadership about whether or not ALL "Family History Centres" are required to be closed.
.
Just my thoughts.

I cannot find an official statement, but all of the Family History Centers around me (Utah) seem to be closed until further notice.

Family History Centres" (FHCs), like "Temples", were not specifically mentioned in the initial World wide communications.
.
For example, there was a subsequent advice specifically about "Temples".
.
FHCs are NOT, (generally, outside of 'Utah' and some of the larger Member populated areas) a 'large gathering' of Members of the Church; and, slightly different to normal "Church" meetings/activities.
.
As such, we have sought advice/clarification from our local Stake Presidency on the matter; as, we are certainly NOT privy to any of the communications, from Church Headquarters, to the 'local' Area Presidency (as in our case the "Pacific Area" Presidency); and/or, Stake Leadership.
.
Perhaps, such has been left to the purview of each individual 'local' Area Presidency; and/or, Stake Leadership (depending upon local jurisdictions - laws/direction).
.
As I previously suggested, lets (not jump the 'gun') wait and see whether their is FURTHER direction or clarification from Church Leadership about whether or not ALL "Family History Centres" are required to be closed.
.
Just my thoughts.

.
ps: Our local "Temple" was not 'jumping the gun' yesterday with the regard to the initial communication on the matter (we were there all day); whereas, the later communication today, actually clarified the matter regarding "Temples".

Thanks for your answers. I am going to close because the majority of my staff are older with chronic health issues. But I am putting up a sign on door that they can contact me for an appointment.
