Filtering memories on person page

I'd like to know what the "trick" is to filtering memories on a person page in chronological order. The knowledge article seems to be out of date:

https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-upload-photos-or-documents-to-memories

The article states that the memories can't be re-ordered.

Does the date have to be the first item in the title, or is the order determined by event date?

Thanks for any advice you can give. I have over 230 items on my dad's memory page and while many of the titles contain a date, not every item does. It looks like the year has to be the first item in the title to order chronologically.

You can use the filter/sort buttons on the right side of the page of the individual:

Thanks, Aine, but I want to know what the computer program is using to filter by date.

My understanding is it is using the event date that is attached to the memories item itself. (if it has one)

Thanks, @Dennis J Yancey. I'm going to go back and experiment to see if that is the key.

Still, if there is a moderator around, could we put a bug in someone's ear to update the knowledge article?

Yes, that is the key - a date must be entered in the "Event Date" field for the memory item to appear in correct chronological order.
