Deleting My Relatives
I worked for two full days working diligently creating the full and comprehensive ID of my 1st cousin's (once removed) husband of 40 years, providing 10+ links and all legitimate sources, only to see that he was immediately deleted by Family Search. I loved both of them dearly and visited with them often all through my childhood.
I was provided no reason, no information, and no direct contact from anyone. Why in the world would this person be deleted? If there is a legitimate reason, the least you could do would be to contact me and let me know why. IF for some bizarre reason someone doesn't want my relative's information researched, or shared, please have the courtesy to let me know. I consider my time as valuable as anyone else's. I've saved all the links either to my source box or to my computer, but this mysterious deletion is really uncalled for. I spent many happy years knowing these two people and they were always kind to me and my family. I'd just like an explanation. Whatever the reason, I'd like to know what it is. This mystery and drama is really absurd and quite unhelpful.

Do you have the ID that you created?

I do hope that FamilySearch will reply privately to you. As a general rule, people in the family tree cannot be deleted unless it can be proved they never existed. There would have to be some unusual circumstances for FS to delete a profile of a deceased person.
Another possibility is that they were marked confidential. A confidential person is invisible to those who don't have authorization to view them. (e.g. if a standard profile is married to a confidential profile, the standard profile was appear as if they are single). One of the most common reasons people are marked confidential is that they lived in certain Middle Eastern countries. I would also speculate that profiles could be marked confidential for reasons relating to ordinances of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (who sponsors FamilySearch), but as a non-member of that church I have no idea if this is true and if so, what circumstances would trigger profiles being marked as confidential.

Also @Linda McMinn you may want to check your Recents tab and your My Contributions tab and see if your missing relative comes up.

Thanks, A van Helsdingen, there are 30-40 siblings I can post beautiful family reunion pictures of all my maternal relatives from 7 decades on, and they'll all enjoy them, as will future ancestors:-)
I'll send every link/source/picture directly to FS and let them deal with it. It's just odd to find 4 decades of US Census records, all the key birth sources, certificates, death records, grave pictures, actual pictures of all of my mother's first maternal cousin's husband, several pictures of me around 4 years, standing in our yard with their house and car behind me across the street, another of my (older) brother at 2 years, standing in almost the same spot, same house, car. My beautiful brother died in Houston's Hermann Hospital of Cystic Fibrosis 4 short years later, at the time we lived in this same home across from her cousin, husband, and their daughter. Our other cousins' house was across our two acre back yard, and our beloved Grandma Lassie around the corner.
Thanks for responding.
