Family Tree
Unlike Ancestry, Family Search allows others to add or delete something on your personal tree, I personally don't feel comfortable someone doing this. I have to go back and change the information to the right information. Also when using Relative Finder, it can be a mess, because someone did not put the right information on the tree. One minute your 4th cousins with a famous actor then you go back and poof, he or she is now you 7th cousin. Why can't we just have our own tree and not share.. You have to make this better..

You don't have "your personal tree" on FamilySearch's single collaborative tree.
Your request is like going to a Mexican restaurant and asking for Chinese food because you don't like Mexican food. The communal, open-edit format of the Family Tree is the whole point here. If you don't like that, use one of the individual-tree sites instead. Both formats have their advantages and disadvantages, and we all have to choose what we're comfortable with or willing to put up with.

I have had a family tree for about 8 years. I recently found an issue. Someone corrupted in on a person in my tree. I do not know if it was accidental or sabotage. It is really messed up. I have sources, but the recent additions and meld have none. What is the method to re-establish to correct. I hope this is the way to get to central FS.org. Jim Vernon

Hi @James Vernon1 and welcome to Community. This is definitely the place to ask questions about the Tree. Here are a few articles from the Help Center (circle with a question mark to the right of the navigation bar) that might be helpful:
How do I see what changes were made about a person in Family Tree?
How do I undo an incorrect change in Family Tree?
How do I undo a merge in Family Tree?
How do I correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree?
How can I prevent other people from making inaccurate changes to Family Tree?
Maile 🙂
