Printing Temple Ordinance Cards

My idea is to restrict the system from printing more than one ordinance per card...or two in the case of Baptism and Confirmation which are usually competed together.

Here is my reasoning. Now that the temples are not returning ordinance cards, if a patron prints a card off of FamilySearch and does not de-select the ordinances they aren't going to do, they will appear as "Printed" on the reservation list.

I have manage several family groups and when the reservation list shows the status as "Printed", I don't know if that means they are "Printed" in anticipation of a pending temple visit, or "Printed" at the same time the preceding ordinance was printed, but now the card has been destroyed and there really isn't a "printed" card anymore. This persons remaining ordinances are now in limbo.

The identity of the person that printed the card is not available so I can't contact them to find out the status of the ordinance card. Unless a person is trying to do multiple ordinances for the person in one temple visit there really isn't a reason not to block the remaining ordinances.

I see your reasoning and I don't have any answers. But I guess I am old school and like to have the printed cards ready. for example if I have an appointment for an endowment, after that session I sometimes try to do a few initiatories. Then they say I can do 3, so I do the 3 but they are slow so let me do 5 more. If I did not have the cards printed & with me, I could not get those done.

But I have wondered whether one of my kids are printing the same names & we are duplicating.
